In order to better serve our Westside campuses, TAPS has added shuttle service to and from the Westside Research Park (WRP)/Coastal Science Campus (CSC) and the residential campus to supplement METRO Route 20.

These trips have been tactically identified in collaboration between TAPS and stakeholders from CSC and WRP in an effort to align with class schedules.

• This service is only available to current UCSC students and employees
• Trips must be scheduled at least two hours in advance
• Trips may be scheduled up to 30 days in advance
• Trips are limited to 10 riders each
• If there are no riders scheduled within two hours of a trip, it will be canceled.
• Walk-ups will be considered, depending on availability, after scheduled riders have been seated.
• Riders may cancel their ride in the flexigo app (see below). Rides should be canceled as far in advance as possible to avoid disruptions.

The Westside Connector shuttles will only stop on UCSC properties; other stops along the route will not be served by these shuttles. The route will stop at:

• Quarry Plaza
• Westside Research Park
• Coastal Biology Building (Inbound and Outbound)
• Seymour Center

Booking Trips on flexigo

Westside connector trips will now be booked in advance using the flexigo app. To get started, follow these steps:

• Download the flexigo app on iOS or Android and sign in using your Cruz ID and Gold Password (this is required to see the Westside Connector option)
• Tap on the “Off-Campus Shuttle” module.
• Select “Search Routes”
• At the top of the screen, select the date for the reservation you’d like to make, then scroll to and tap the card with the trip details matching your schedule.
  • Both Silicon Valley Connector and Westside Connector will show in this module, so look for trip cards labeled “West Side Connector.”
  • The trip card only shows the first and last stops, but you may board or get off at any of the stops along the route.
• Check the reservation details and tap “Reserve.”
• Confirm that you’d like to make the reservation.
• The reservation is confirmed by the system.
• Reservation details will be available on the My Trips card within the Off-Campus Shuttle module. Reservations can be canceled from this screen by tapping the X on the My Trips card.
• When you board for your reservation, use the flexigo app to scan the QR code on the vehicle to check in for your trip.
